METICULOUS PENCIL DRAWINGS BY YOTA TSUKINO
Japan is without doubt one of my favourite countries. I love the food (one of my top 10 best meals ever was in Tokyo at a Japanese/Italian fusion restaurant – wow!), the history, the traditions, the architecture, the natural beauty, the merging of the past and the future, and the precision of the society as a whole.
That’s why I was immediately infatuated by these pencil sketches by Japanese artist, Yota Tsukino. The painstaking detail, the multitude of small stories unfolding, the artistry and the precision are a treat to explore.
Yota’s retro-futuristic cityscapes will be presented at an upcoming solo exhibition in Osaka, Japan, showcasing three different periods of Japanese history with a modern twist.
