VEHICLES OF BURNING MAN

I have never been to Burning Man or AfrikaBurn, but I’ve heard all the tales from friends, and it sounds and looks like a lot of fun. My father-in-law’s best friend was going to AfrikaBurn every year well into his 80s (needless to say, he was a genuine hero of mine). When I got married in the Kalahari, he was up dancing in the desert the entire night, I don’t think he saw his bed until mid-morning the next day.

I have always loved deserts – ever since my first visit to the soaring dunes of Namibia when I was a teenager – and I have always loved the cinematography of the Mad Max franchise, so I was thrilled when I saw these stunning photographs of the vehicles of Burning Man by the talented Alexandra Lier.
